Leadership Spotlight: Kirby Pettitt

Leading a team of over 30 recruiters is no easy feat, but our Executive Vice President of Recruiting makes it look like a breeze. Kirby’s day-to-day consists of leveraging our expansive network of claims professionals to support our clients while ensuring each candidate is the best fit for the role.  

Only moments after sitting down with Kirby, it became clear the motivation for his success came down to one simple philosophy: helping others. Whether it’s pushing his recruiters to be the best asset to their candidates, helping our clients and their policyholders through difficult times, or helping claims professionals find success in their own careers, Kirby is passionate about uplifting others.

As Executive Vice President of Recruiting, what are your main priorities?  

My day-to-day focuses include managing all recruiting efforts, including direct hire, temporary, temp-to-hire positions, daily claims, and program business. I’m continuously looking to improve sourcing, qualifying resources, and streamlining processes, while also creating strategic plans for client programs, department reorganization, and business expansion.

What’s one of your proudest accomplishments with TheBest Claims? 

In my time here at TheBest Claims, we have successfully developed and implemented our dispatch unit and daily claims programs. It was a challenging yet rewarding initiative that involved collaborating across departments and initiating new strategies, leading to tangible improvements in efficiency and client satisfaction.

What about our company inspires you the most? 

What inspires me about this work is the opportunity to make a significant impact on both the organization and individuals’ careers. I believe in the power of effective recruiting to not only fill positions but to strategically align talent with business goals. It’s about creating growth opportunities, fostering strong teams, and ultimately contributing to the success of individual recruiters and the expansion of the company.
